Diagnosing Your Leading Leg Pain Causes
Underlying Causes of Leg Pain
There are many underlying leg pain causes that may not be appropriately treated through chiropractic care. Examples of this would be peripheral neuropathy, electrolyte imbalances, arthritis, side effects of Statin medication where both legs hurt symmetrically and vascular conditions such as blood clots or phlebitis or inflamed veins.
However, chiropractic adjustments can treat leg pain caused by a pinched sciatic nerve in their low back, a mechanical change in their gait due to a subluxated or dislocated pelvis, knee or ankle and foot.
Treatment of Leg Pain
We will begin with a thorough exam to determine root cause of the leg pain. We will take a wholistic approach focusing on the spinal system and nerve supply as well as the patient’s symptoms and history of treatment. Once we rule out leg pain causes unrelated to mechanical change, we will begin adjustments to correct the issue.
